I can't post an image, but here is a link: https://ibin.co/2ghbxEizJf8H.jpg
I know it is trying to tell me that the button/tool is for exposure adjustment, but that's not the point. The point is that I don't really want to do a web search to decipher white-on-feint-gray text. Usually when some app makes low contrast choices, I can highlight it and get better contrast. You can't do that with hover text. So, how can I get better contrast here? I have a similar problem with Dolphin, so it is some sort of KDE setting. So, two questions: 1. how do I fix my setting? 2. is it possible for KDE to *DISABLE* low contrast text? |

issue is probably a combination of theme and colors, maybe systemsettings -> color -> colors -> color set -> tooltip, change test from white to black

Thank you _SO_ much! *YES* that gets me to where I need to be. I'd ask why searching for tooltip doesn't get me there, but I am sure you don't know. It looks like I am seeing "Normal Text" on an "Alternate Background". Since I didn't make any selection here, my guess is someone didn't have their thinking cap on. I never, ever set any color preferences for precisely the reason that somehow I wind up with yellow-on-white or purple-on-black. Or, in this case, slightly-off-white-on-very-pale-gray. I selected KDE with the default scheme and default colors. Except now my alternate is normal: jet black. Wow! I can see again. |
