Panels are gone and I can't make the come back

I'm running OpenSUSE Leap 42.1 x64 on a Dell Laptop with Intel Graphics.
I connected a second monitor using the VGA cable, after that I turned off my laptop. When I turned the laptop back on, the panel have disappeared.
Setting the display as primary didn't work, connecting the external monitor again makes the panel reappear, but when I disconnect it the panel is gone again.
Tried using ARandR, didn't work.
