Using Conky with Plasma 5

Fri Jun 03, 2016 4:30 am
Hi there,

I hope here are some folks who also use Conky with Plasma 5.....

My Conky shines thru windows that are over the Conky window.

Below you can see a screenshot, I have placed a Kate window over the Conky window and the Conky stuff shines thru the Kate application window.

The strange thing is, that only can mean, the Kate window became transparent? I do not have set transparency for active or passive KDE windows.

In my .conkyrc I use
Code: Select all
own_window_type = 'dock',

The only way to workaround is to use
Code: Select all
own_window_type = 'normal',

I´d like to know, what do you guys use for own_window_type?

Thnx!
