I'm using Manjaro Linux with KDE Plasma 5.6.4.

I've tried to follow this guide http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/improve-wo ... d-widgets/ to enable the plasmoid dashboard layer, but I can't found the configuration options it talks about.

How do I enable the plasmoid dashboard in 5.6.4?

That post is KDE 4 centric

"dashboard" afaik is no longer, you can use show desktop to display enabled widgets initiating it with either screen corners (set in systemsettings) or the show desktop widget (there is also a Win7 show desktop which can be installed via the get new widgets facility)

Do you know if there are plans to reintroduce the dashboard in the Plasma 5 series?

Or maybe should I file something in the wishlist?

no actual knowledge but think the plan was that it was replaced by show desktop function
