Debian Menus

Sun Jun 26, 2016 11:03 am
How do I make Debian Menus Available to the default or alternative launcher(s)? I could do this with KDE4, but am stumped with KDE5.
Plasma Version 5.5.5
QT Version 5.5.1
Kernel 4.4.0-24 Generic (64 bit)

Testing at here, with
Debian Sid
Plasma desktop 5.6.4
KF 5.23
Qt 5.6.1

Installing: menu and menu-xdg

Executing:
Code: Select all
update-menus

There should be ~/.config/menus/debian-menu.menu
Executing:
Code: Select all
kbuildsycoca5 --noincremental

Hmm - the Debian menu applications are placed under the 'Lost & Found'

Starting the KDE Menu Editor and making the 'Debian Menu' sub menu - Note ! there is the Bug 345100 - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345100. Earlier KDE Forums: viewtopic.php?f=289&t=124403&start=15#p356852

Moving the Apps from the 'Lost & Found' to the 'Debian Menu'...
