Hi,
I have use multiple linux on a single machine and share the same home directoy. I got most of the thing working whenever I boot one OS or another but I always loose Network Manager settings. I suspect it is linked to kwallet but not sure. Let's say I create a VPN or Wifi connection on my account. Then next day reboot on a different OS (like debian/gentoo/fedora or so), my desktop is the same (some icon issues but that's not the topic) but network manager doesnt show my connections. If I check kwallet I can see for exemple what I suspect is my VPN : {763e80ff-12ef-4e9e-a49f-b422963df683};vpn or wifi {0bc713a2-1a94-4f1b-a8a5-53f0d6616793};802-11-wireless-security but : $ nmcli c show NAME UUID TYPE DEVICE wifi-g 0bc713a2-1a94-4f1b-a8a5-53f0d6616793 802-11-wireless -- wifiB 9e5d2df4-abbe-48e3-b468-a6988c33418e 802-11-wireless -- ens5 b71ea685-f736-49bd-8f28-7d79b2dece75 802-3-ethernet -- aterm-56d9c7-gw d74805b0-0342-4e7c-ada5-015a7cf59cd5 802-11-wireless wls1 Question is obviously why can't I get the same config whatever my OS is and what is the mechanism behind ? I have to configure again wifi connection and VPN which is annoying. Thanks |
