Like I changed the font settings and then it normally shows a warning but as soon as I pressed apply, then it crashed. Same thing when I tried to delete a wallet from kwalletmanager5.

Here's the kwallet dump: http://pastebin.com/FVL9agc1
Please help me. It's driving me nuts

The reason for your crashes is that VLC (used as phonon backend) loads its Qt4 GUI plugin on startup.

Ways to fix the crashes:
- compile VLC against Qt5

or
- generate a complete plugin cache for VLC, VLC only loads plugins at startup that are not listed in the cache. To do that, run this as root:
Code: Select all
/usr/lib/vlc/vlc-cache-gen -f /usr/lib/vlc/plugins/

(you might have to adjust the paths though)

Another option to prevent the crashes would be to switch to the gstreamer backend, which has other advantages as well.
