Is there a command line instruction to logout from a session from the command line. I remember there was some on KDE4 <something>-logout or restart.

Earlier: Shutdown kde correctly from command-line - viewtopic.php?f=66&t=88022

KWorkSpace Namespace Reference: https://api.kde.org/4.x-api/kde-workspa ... Space.html

Still working with the KF5

=>
Confirm logout:
Code: Select all
$ qdbus org.kde.ksmserver /KSMServer logout 1 3 3

Logout without confirmation:
Code: Select all
$ qdbus org.kde.ksmserver /KSMServer logout 0 3 3

Beware that this will usually also kill all programs associated with that session, including those running in the background, like `tmux` or `screen`.
