Hello Folks,
i am setting up my new Fedora 24 system with KDE 5 and encountered an strange issue: I prefer the traditional Windows style like double click to open folders and files. So when i change the settings via Input devices->Mouse to single click it appears to be working. But within Konqueror and Amarok single click instead of double click is needed still. When i change it back to single click, Konqueror and Amarok are working with double click, but everything else uses single click. This is kind of a XOR situation. So how can i get Konqueror / Amarok in sync with the reaming KDE ? best regard, Malte |

KF5 vs KDE4 The Konqueror and Amarok are still KDE4/Qt4 applications. They are reading the settings from the ~/.kde4/share/config/kdeglobals. (*) The KF5 is saving and reading the settings to/from ~/.config/kdeglobals. The Konqueror has a setting : Konqueror > Settings > Configure Konqueror > File Management > Navigation... It will save the setting to the ~/.kde4/share/config/kdeglobals. (*) Some distributions are using ~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals. |

Hello Rog131,
thanks for your quick replay. I've looked at the cfg files and one was set to true the other to false. Set both to false and it is working. This appears to be one of these cases where you either know the answer or never find it. So thanks for the answer, without it i would never had found the solution. Coming from an Opensuse KDE 4 i have to say the KDE 5 feels kind of buggy at the moment. Here is an example: I use a dual monitor set-up with two folder views on the same physical folder. With every boot there is kind of a race condition where only one monitor gets the icon and the other don't. As a solution i created a ~/.Desktop folder as a link the the regular ~/Desktop. With this hack it worked. Here an other one: KDE 4 remembered the position and size of a windows after reboot. KDE 5 forgets this stuff, as it seams. But nevertheless i am relay happy for this to work, thanks a lot Malte |
