Rotate screen from command line

Sat Sep 10, 2016 9:02 pm
I've been attempting to dig through the kscreen source for some time and I can't make heads or tails of how to do this. I'm attempting to rotate my screen (as if through the Display Configuration module) from the command line. Rotating the screen though Display Configuration works fine, but using xrandr on the command line does not, so I'm hoping to figure out how to replicate the steps.

All I've figured out is that it writes the "rotation" attribute in .local/share/kscreen/<some giant hash>/ but simply changing the file doesn't magically change anything. Do I need to somehow load the new settings? Is there some other thing that needs to be done?

My head is exploding from trying to look at the kscreen source, I would appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!!
