I'm seeing drawing glitches on the system tray. It stops drawing all the time (I can see the desktop wallpaper behind it). Mousing over any of the application boxes on the task manager are any of the icons it it causes it to show again. This is happening with the fglrx driver but it was much worse with the free drivers (I was seeing all kinds of glitches and horrible performance). KDE4 worked flawlessly with the free driver. My video card is:

VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Kabini [Radeon HD 8210]

The distro is gentoo. Any ideas how to fix it?

The problem was fixed on version 5.7.5
