With plasma 5 last Gentoo update (powerdevil-5.8.3) I don't have Power management in services nor powerdevil in modules
Code: Select all
$ qdbus org.kde.kded5 /kded loadedModules
device_automounter
khotkeys
freespacenotifier
kmixd
networkstatus
statusnotifierwatcher
appmenu
kwrited
kscreen
remotedirnotify
solidautoeject
keyboard
proxyscout
ksysguard
ktimezoned

I really need to know if that's normal (changes in KDE) or not (problem on my installation) as said in viewtopic.php?f=66&t=118646&start=30, please.

Starting from Plasma 5.8 we have changed powerdevil to use seperate binary instead of kded module. This binary is available in $libexecdir/org_kde_powerdevil

Ok, that's why I couldn't find it anymore. Thank you very much.
So, no more way to unload it as I did (viewtopic.php?f=66&t=118646&start=30) to disable automatic suspend ?
I'm now trying to use the qdbus "inhibit" solution, but, it disable dpms too.
