My distro is Arch and have the up-to-date plasma 5 installed. How would one change the systray icons of user-installed applications? For example, I downloaded Dropbox from Arch User Repository but the systray icon is pixelated. There are a few AUR packages that allow me to change the systray icons and I looked into their source code to see what these packages doing. It seems they are simply copying png images (the icons) into the `/usr/share/icons/hicolor/*/status` drecitory and then update the icon cache. However, how do we know that Dropbox or other applications in general will know this is the systray icon they will use?
