"Save Session" doesn't work for Clementine

I'm running Plasma5 (5.8.6) on openSUSE Leap 42.2. I have things configured so that when KDE starts, it loads the last session I saved using the "Save Session" feature of the Application Launcher. This generally works fine – all my saved applications get restored on login, with the exception of Clementine (version 1.3.1). This problem started occurring after a recent upgrade (from openSUSE 13.2, which was running an older version of Plasma but the same version of Clementine) so I suspect the problem may lie with Plasma5.

Is there anything I can do to pinpoint the cause or work around this problem? (I mean, other than manually starting Clementine after each login, which is what I'm doing now.)
