Panel disappears on HDMI off

Mon Apr 03, 2017 1:55 pm
Hi,

Just a simple question.

I have this script I have also posted elsewhere one time that I use to supersede KScreen's autoconfig of my displays. So I have this trigger that executes a script and detects which monitors are connected and which are not. But in this case it is very simple.

I have a HDMI cable connected but there is no display on it. The display however is activated in my KDE settings (xrandr) because it gives sound.

When I turn the HDMI off (receiver off) my panel disappears in KDE (Kubuntu 16.04). The only display that is connected (in both times) is my DVI (VGA) monitor.

When the HDMI turns off, my script only runs xrandr --auto actually which doesn't do much.

But my panel disappears! What do I do?
