For a long while just hitting the Super key would not do anything in KDE. People disliked this and wanted to have it similar to Windows where you can open the start menu with a hit on Super. Now we have this feature. But I'd like to disable it on my system.

All window manager actions are mapped to some Super shortcut, just like I had it with Awesome WM. Now I often press Super and realize that I did not want to do anything. Then I release it and the Application Starter pops up. Alternatively I try to hit the Alt key and get it wrong, this also triggers the Application Starter. I'd like to have it as in KDE 4 when there was just no effect when hitting Super.

Can this be set up somewhere?

We need to set "Meta=" (no command) under the group [ModifierOnlyShortcuts] in the file ~/config/kwinrc, then reload kwin.
It’s easier to use these commmands than doing it by hand.
