Hi I've searched this all over the internet and cannot find anyone with my exact problem.

I installed Debian 9 stretch with kde plasma 5. I've installed realmd so that I can attach this pc to a windows domain, I have done so and in the terminal I can change user with "su" to a domain user and it creates a home directory for him/her.

However when I try to change to a different user via the graphical interface, or even when I first log into the pc, there is no way to even select another user.

It shows me only the local user I created on install, there's no dialogue box to even type in a username and password, it seems as though the local user is the only one in existence and it won't allow me to even try to type in any sort of other user let alone a domain user.

I really don't know what's going on, it's the most bizarre user login interface I've ever seen.

Any ideas please?
