Hello good people!
Localization: plasma version 5.10.5 (KDE Neon User or any distro featuring aforementioned plasma version) Action: I click with the mouse on an icon in the application dashboard Result: application dashboard impossible to navigate from the arrow keys Persistence/action to make dashboard key-navigable again: temporary/position pointer onto Recent Applications Avoidable: Yes, if I never use the mouse to interact with the dashboard and use the keys exclusively Behavior description: incomplete Occurrence in plasma 5.8.7: never Occurrence in plasma series 5.9: never Does it make user experience better or worse? Doesn't make it any better. Is it a bug? I don't know. Is it a regression? Possibly. Is it by design/a new feature? Unlikely. Has anyone else noticed it? Probably. Did I file bugreport? I did. When? Way back. Resolution? None. Do I know whether it's present in 5.11? I don't. Do I dread it might also be present in 5.11? I do. Am I flagrantly off-topic again? I don't know. Am I nuts? Perhaps. Are people subjective about the things they make or love? Generally, they are. Am I optimistic? I am. Let it be!

LOL ,,,interesting post
I cant say that I have seen this behavior however on any plasma version ,,,even 5.11.0 you may have an exclusive problem/issue with your mouse key mapping or something . dose this happen on an relatively stock install or have you been doing any customizing/changing of config files ? I use the dashboard on my /dev/stable install with plasma 5.11.0 ,,,,I'm off to the user-LTS install now to check it their .....I'll post back IF I see this behavior their. VINNY |

OK ,,,I am sorry ,,,I do see what you are describing now .
I could not get my mind wrapped around how you could click an Icon in the dashboard without it opening the app ,,,,you can rite click one and the arrow keys then stop responding ,,,sorry for my misunderstanding . VINNY |

Report this bug on bugs.kde.org , or at least post it in
It will likely not be seen by devs here, especially this section as it is a general Plasma problem, and not a Neon one. It would get more views in a more appropriate section, especially with a link to a bug report so that others can also add their input there.

@Clay Wonder if I did it correctly. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385508 Note: this is my second report on this issue, now hopefully better than the previous one https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?bug_st ... lasmashell

Okay, did what I could. One can mess things up easily if not used to reporting bugs. Wish someone joined my efforts on this one.
