i would like to know where are the strings to translate regarding the printer setting box.
As you can see on screenshot, my mom has her laptp setup to french interface, however the printer settings dialog box is part in english, part in french.

You got kde-l10n-fr installed? Also check system settings - regional settings - language and format.

kde-l10n-fr is not relevant here, because print-manager 17.04 in ubuntu 17.10 includes the translations.

i reinstalled already both with:

sudo apt install --reinstall kde-l10n-fr print-manager

and nothing changed. So where is the issue then ?

I think that those options comes directly from CUPS as they are; the strings are not part of print-manager. Not sure that there is an easy way to solve this.

CUPS is directly supplied by EPSON ?

CUPS is the printing server; printing drivers on GNU/Linux systems are normally drivers for CUPS.

I reckon tosky is onto something with cups. I remember having to install a special kde printer package which would support this.

In fact it's a french newsgroup list and i already contacted them. Till now now feedback. For sure, if i get something valuable i will drop a line here for the case of it would help others in the same situation.

Ok, so the problem ocurs for several languages. I found a solution but i have to open a bug/issue on trackers for KDE and ubuntu.

Where is the bug tracker for KDE ?

Again, those strings come from CUPS, not from print-manager. You can file a bug against print-manager, but if the driver does not provide localized information there is no much to do.

As fas as i read, CUPS allows only 1 ppd file. There is an extension to allow multilanguage ppd file into 1 single file.
who is responsible to display those string into the window ? CUPS or the print-manager ? as far as i understood the print manager is responsible to display info and to manager printer configuration.
At least this is what is written on launchpad

Interesting, could you please write down here the link that that launchpad bug?

they write print-manager is responsible for printer configuration as you can read... so therefore i understand it is responsible for text and localization of the printer configuration window
