My problem is that both in Kubuntu and Neon (both updated to 5.12) I cannot find the Night Color feature, which actually appeared to be my favourite announcement of this release. Do you know where to look for it?

Night Color is only available in Wayland Mode.
On the login screen, choose 'Desktop Session: Plasma (Wayland)' Then go to System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Night Color

I don't see this when i login. I can only Login, Suspend, Restart, Shutdown, or Change User. How do I even see this prompt? Thanks |

Since you're on Kubuntu it's possible that you additionally need to first install the Wayland session package, which should be https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/kde/ ... ce-wayland
On Neon the Wayland session components are installed automatically. |

I am sorry for replying late like that. But thank you a lot, the night color is in there. Unfortunately the wayland session does not really look really polished yet, so I will wait with it a little I think.

Even if Night Color is only for Wayland, you can use the Redshift Plasmoid on Xorg.
