Changing lock screen

Sat Mar 24, 2018 7:09 pm
I have managed to get Plasma 5 to look great using the Glassified theme and Obsidian Coast colors (see full desktop image below). However, I have some problems with the lock screen and the shutdown dialogue box displaying white text on gray background. I have been unable to figure out how to change these colors except for changing theme, which I don't want to do. Could someone help point me in the right direction please? Thank you for your time.

Note: I used postimg. Please let me know if this is how you guys want images posted in this forum.

Your plasma is a bit old, latest plasma is now 5.12.3.

If you don't want to change the theme colors then the only option ( I think) is to edit the Qml code.

Back then, plasma 5.5 (?) - A simple where to look: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthrea ... post384321

With the Plasma 5.12 - KDE Plasma lockscreen colors and testing lock screen: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=151172

Re: Changing lock screen  Topic is solved

Sat Mar 24, 2018 10:06 pm
I was playing around some more in the themes and colors windows. It seems that changing the theme color scheme in the themes window has the effect of changing the shutdown and lock screen, while changing the color scheme in the color window seems to change most everything else. It's a little disjointed, but hopefully the upgrade to the next LTS will fix it.

Thanks for the help though.
