Progress display in task manager

Fri Apr 20, 2018 12:25 pm
Hi, I recently re-installed Kubuntu 17.10 and now miss a feature I used to have in another installation: While file operations were going on, such as copy or move files, there was a progress display in the app’s button in the task manager panel, forming a greenish cast filling the button from left to right. I found this very handy but don’t know what to do to get it back.

I found a check box in the settings of the task manager "show information about status and progress within the panel symbol" (certainly not correctly translated) but that is already checked.

Running Kubuntu 17.10 64-bit on a Lenovo T420, KDE Plasma 5.10.5, modified Breeze theme (same as before when it worked).

Miraculously enough, it works now. No idea what I’ve done though … Well, at least this issue is closed.
