I am running Mageia v.6 with Plasma 5.8.7 lts. Mageia will soon update to Plasma 5.12.x lts.

I have a user account that is not working well with Plasma at the moment and is not able to take advantage of the desktop effects.

How do I go about re-setting Plasma to its original settings? I would rather do this rather than creating and moving all of the data files to a new user account.

iirc, the config files should be saved in subdirectories under the $XDG_CONFIG_HOME directory (should be ~/.config) and the user-local data files under the $XDG_DATA_HOME directory (should be ~/.local/share)
