Touchpad under Wayland

Wed Mar 06, 2019 10:05 pm
Hi all,

I'm using Plasma 5.15 on Tumbleweed and found that I lose a lot of my touchpad's functionality when utilizing Plasma with Wayland. Basically while in Plasma, my touchpad behaves like a generic PS/2 mouse. KDE system settings shows the device as an available touchpad, but now lists the device as "DLL07A0:01 044E:120B". The rest of the controls (general, pointer speed, acceleration profile and scrolling) are all greyed out.

My question is whether or not there's a workaround for this, and if so, how?

Best,

Jason
