Disable clock on lock screen

Sun Mar 10, 2019 10:16 pm
Hello everyone,

while setting up my first Kubuntu (18.04) I noticed that I can't disable the clock on the lock screen. Is there no way to do this, or did I simply overlook it? I am not opposed to delving into arcane config files to fix this.

Greetings,

In order to disable the clock, you need to edit qml files.
Just simply delete the clock component in:
/usr/share/plasma/look-and-feel/org.kde.breeze.desktop/contents/lockscreen/LockScreenUi.qml
It works for me.
Remember to backup.
You can download my edited qml file in:
https://github.com/XipingHu/Remove-Cloc ... Lockscreen
and replace LockScreenUi.qml

Hi

After reading the config properly, there is a button for the design of the lock-screen nowadays, that leads into a subdialog with the clock removal as first checkbox. So there is UI for it now.
