[SOLVED] How to make icons colorful in compact view mode ?

I don't like modern style of icons in file manager in compact view mode, folders are white for example. I want them be colorful, like in old times.

I got it: there is Oxygen team icon theme.

It's a combination of the icon theme and how small you make the icons.

The assumption is that the smallest setting is reserved for symbolic versions of the icons, but if you increase the size by one tick it should use the normal icons at that size.

There are also other icon themes which don't use symbolic icons for the smallest setting. On the KDE store there are many options, including someone uploaded a version of Breeze without the symbolic icons.
