I'm using KDE Plasma 5.14.5 in Debian 10. Keyboard layout switcher (Either keyboard shortcut or clicking the icon on the tray) doesn't work in some apps like Firefox, Tor Browser (which is Firefox-based), LibreOffice.

Any ideas to figure out what's wrong?

do you have all the necessary language packs installed for the languages you want too use?.

As an example, using the konsole/terminal command to install a few extra language packs on my system (Kubuntu 19.10):

sudo apt install language-pack-de hunspell-en-gb libreoffice-l10n-en-gb hunspell-de-de-frami libreoffice-l10n-de

In Settings > Regional settings, you can add more languages by simply clicking on the "Add languages" button!.
