Hello All,

I have a fresh Fedora 31 with KDE Plasma 5.16.5. I can only login after a reboot; if I log out and then attempt to log back in, it hangs. The mouse cursor can be moved, but the session doesn't initialize, and just sits forever on a background image during the KDE session initiation. No menu, no dialog, no anything ever appears.

I'm not sure where to begin troubleshooting this so please bear with me.

I tried clearing out cache files and KDE settings back to default...didn't help. I even created a new user account to see if maybe it was something in the settings, but the new account has the same trouble on subsequent logins.

This happens 100% of the time on a subsequent login attempt but never happens on first login after a reboot.

Please let me know where to look, what logs to check, etc.

I can confirm that i have same issue.

Fedora 31
Intel Core I7 2600 CPU
16 gig of RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970

you should report this to Fedora as a bug
