I have an install of Ubuntu Studio (using RT Kernal for music production) that I added KDE Plasma as I disliked Gnome. Is it possible to this clean up somehow to get rid of leftover Gnome bits that may be conflicting? I ask because I'm seeing a few quirks (keyboard repeat issues + black screen on wake from suspend) that I'm wondering if may be related to switching DE...

A fresh install is not an option for me as I'm reliant on limited mobile data for download!
