I finally got Tor downloaded after they were having issues with their download link. I got it extracted, moved to where I want it, opened it's folder, clicked the start-tor-browser.desktop shortcut and tor launched fine.
The issue is I went to edit applications on my startmenu and created a shortcut point to the start-tor-browser.desktp but when I click on it it does nothing. no launching tor, no error message. I then proceeded to create a shortcut in a folder for it by rightclicking in the folder, selecting create link to new application, general: Tor, Applications: Tor, Command: browse to and select start-tor-browser.desktop, click ok, click the shortcut and get asked if i want to launch the program, click ok and it does nothing. I've since tested other programs and they do exactly what they should do which is launch. I'm at a lost on this. Help please. Deleting the shortcut I just created to test again gave me the following.
Manjaro KDE 18.1.3 |

This does not look like a KDE related issue at all, since you are obviously using xfce...
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
