Hi, I'm pretty new to Linux and I've been using KDE on Ubuntu 19.04 for about a year now. Today my computer froze up suddenly so I did a hard shutdown, and when I rebooted, I didn't reach a graphical login (black screen cursor only). I could access the CLI though and I tried purging and reinstalling sddm, but that didn't fix the issue. I tried switching to lightdm, which gets me to a graphical login, but when I enter my credentials it gives me "Failed to start session". I even tried reinstalling kubuntu-desktop which did nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Most of the stuff I find with a quick search is just for Unity.
