Just now, I tried installing the Blender snap package (ver. 2.81a) through Discover (v. 5.18.3), and I'm getting a popup message I've never seen before. After I click on Install and enter my password, a popup from Discover says "This snap application needs security confinement measures disabled". There are buttons to Proceed or Cancel.
What is this? It's not happening when I install the flatpak version of Blender, nor when I install a snap of a different application. I did an online search for the message but only got one hit (and it was in a foreign language). |

You would have to ask the person who made the snap, or the snap folks. I think it has to do with how this particular snap was built. There are different levels of confinement options when creating them, and the Blender snap is using the 'classic' confinement setup, which requires users to allow it. Most snaps use the 'strict' confinement.

Sometimes it is challenging to find this person, and you need to look for help aside. For example, some months ago, we worked with our team to develop a new app. We needed qualitative android penetration testing. My colleague advised me https://www.cyberlands.io/mobilepenetrationtesting, and I was amazed and pleased with their job and the result they showed us. Indeed, there are few professions in this issue. So, I appreciate it a lot when I was lucky to and precisely what I was looking for and always happy to share coordinates with others.
