I have an issue that is only related to KDE's lockscreen, not the SDDM logon:

Whenever I close my laptop and open it (or manually lock my screen), the UI takes a very long time to appear on the screen. I only see a background and my mouse pointer. After a few seconds, the time and date will appear and after another while, the password prompt appears.

In that time, I can type in my password and hit enter, but I always have to wait 10-20 seconds or so before the interface loads and immediately unlocks.

Is there anything I can try to make the UI load any faster? The rest of the system works perfectly fine and snappy, which makes it even stranger. I've experienced this problem on Debian 10 and Kubuntu 20.04. Setting a blank background didn't help.
