Hello,
I recently switched over to Arch Linux and decided to go with Plasma 5 as my DE. Because I was used to BSPWM, I set it up according to this link: https://userbase.kde.org/Tutorials/Using_Other_Window_Managers_with_Plasma. It works well and I can use sxhkd for shortcuts. However, when right-clicking the desktop, the context menu doesn't appear anymore, so I can't add panels or configure appearance. Every other menu works as expected. I have tried the following solutions and nothing has worked so far: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/a1cu6y/help_rightclicking_on_desktop_doesnt_show_context/ https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=79092 https://askubuntu.com/questions/1079851/on-kubuntu-how-do-i-remove-the-desktop-toolbox-and-desktop-icons-permanently I have deleted the ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma-desktop-appletsrc and reset all custom settings, but it's still not working. Here is a pastebin of my current plasma-org.kde.plasma-desktop-appletsrc: https://pastebin.com/dB1QDAF2 These are the versions I am using: plasmashell --version plasmashell 5.18.5 kf5-config --version Qt: 5.14.2 KDE Frameworks: 5.70.0 kf5-config: 1.0 bspwm -version 0.9.7-10-g2ffd9c1 This issue is probably caused by BSPWM, but how can I fix it without needing to go back to KWin? |
