How can I redirect .xsession-errors to /var/log?

Hi,

I noticed that on systems that use GDM as the display manager, there is no .xsession-errors file. Instead things that would have gone there are redirected to the system log in /var/log. I want to now if this can be implemented on KDE. The practical advantage would be that log2ram, a script that mounts /var/log in RAM in order to protect SD cards and SSDs, would sweep up this script as well and put it in RAM. This would result in less SSD writes. Can this be done?

Thanks,
Isaac

I found an answer here (https://www.daniloaz.com/en/how-to-prev ... huge-size/)!

Based on that article, I found that I could edit /etc/X11/Xsession and make ERRFILE point to somewhere in /var/log. So long as the permissions are set correctly so that my user account could edit the file, X would write to it.
