Hi. I'm using KDE Plasma 5 on PisiLinux 2.2. When I try to shut down or reboot system, only a black screen appears and it stucks there. But shutting down or rebooting by using shell command:

qdbus org.kde.ksmserver /KSMServer logout <confirm> <shutdowntype> <shutdownmode>

works. How may I find the reason and debug this?

This distribution does not use systemd, uses sysvinit instead.

I bet the below link is the problem. I have the same issue with Tumbleweed on my laptop. If you look in the logs you may see errors unmounting var. Can you also provide logs?

Thanks for answer. "shutdown -h now" shuts system down immediately, with no error. There is no log. And according to the page you shared, reason is journald which is systemd package and we do not use systemd in Pisi Linux.

And I forgot to mention, everyone using this version struggles this problem. Not specific to me.

Hi. Actually I am one of developers of my distribution and we are trying to resolve this issue.

Then you should take this to the bug tracker, the forum is not the best way to get the developers attention. Mind you, the release announcement mailing list for distributions is also a good place to report such a problem...
