Hi,
Every now and then (maybe once every week or two) I attempt to login to Plasma and it hangs at the screen with the loading animation after I type in my password. I will try and see if I can replicate it, since it only happens once in a while and I'm not sure what it has to do with. But for now, I'm posting a log (below) from the last time it happened. I obtained this log using:
At 1:17 I woke up my laptop from sleep (a Dell Inspiron 3583) and that's when it happened. When I realized it was stuck at that screen and wasn't going to login to the desktop I hit Control + Fn + Alt + F4 (or something) and used
to restart Plasma, at which point it worked fine. The log appears to contain a record of this. But can someone perhaps figure out from the log what went wrong? Thanks, Isaac Cohen ---log----

A bit more information about your system (distribution, exact Plasma version, graphic card etc) would be useful here...
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
