Problems: After waking up from suspension, the Kubuntu Login screen freezes on correct password input. Restarting SDDM from tty console kills all those applications running on the system. Clicking does not work though the mouse pointer moves.
I have faced this problems especially when my system is running for 6-7 days (intermittently with suspension) without a reboot or shut down & I tried to re-login after a period of suspension. This time around the login screen freeze when I input passwords.
I got some references but I am not sure how can I save those applications running on system from stopping /killing when I had to restart the SDDM login screen.
Without restarting SDDM no other workaround is working.
Code: Select all
sudo service sddm restart
