Maybe I don't have a firm understanding of what the memory plasmoid is supposed to be showing, but how I understand it, this doesn't look correct. If it says 50% memory usage, shouldn't the circle only be half way filled? See screenshot link.

This does indeed look very wrong. In the Sensor settings, make sure it starts at -180°, everything lower will make the indicator go further to the right.
