How about some more information about your distribution and exact Plasma version?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Kubuntu 18.04
KDE Plaasma 5.12.9
KDE Frmework 5.44.0
Qt 5.9.5
Kernel 5.4.0-52
32-bit
ac@ac-MM061:~$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS
Release: 18.04
Codename: bionic

The message wen I run apt command is:
ac@ac-MM061:~$ sudo apt install plasma-discover
[sudo] password di ac:
Lettura elenco dei pacchetti... Fatto
Generazione albero delle dipendenze
Lettura informazioni sullo stato... Fatto
plasma-discover-common

Is the same wen I run plasma-discover-common

It's in Italian but maybe the concept you know better than me

I'm totally available for further information

Many thank in advance

Re: plasma-discover  Topic is solved

You do realise that Kubuntu 18.04 is pretty old by now and it will reach its EOL in April which is only a few months away, I strongly suggest you upgrade your installation.

no installation candidate usually means you don't have the proper sources activated., so you must have removed for more than plasma-discover I fear.

Are we really talking about a genuine Kubuntu installation or did you install Kubuntu on top of Ubuntu or another variant?

In any case, I strongly suggest you run the following commands first:
Code: Select all
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo dpkg --configure -a

If this doesn't solve the issue, you really should check your sources list which is located at /etc/apt/sources.list

Dear Myriam,

many thank for your answer

As far for your comment please find below my concern:

Yes Kunbuntu installed is totally 100% genuine! (from kde)

The fact that i have installed this version was because it was the only version available for architecture .32 bit

And again you are totally aright about is a end of live version and the fact that there is too less things to do on that...

Now the question is according to your experience I can run a new version (64 bit) on my old pc with 32 bit ?

In any case I will use your suggestion to update apt but i did it before

I think that is the only think to understand is this if the 64 bit can run on my old pc ?

Many thank for your support and Have a nice day

oh, that is quite unfortunate, the 64bit version will likely not run on the 32 architecture, you might have to change distribution if you want something newer for your computer. I suggest you look at Ubuntu MATE, you will be able to install Plasma on top of it anyway.
