How can I pin an application as the first in Task Manager?

What I want to do is have an app always as the first button in the Task Manager, so I can activate its window with Meta/Super+1, whether it's running or not.

So I launched the app (e.g. Spotify), right clicked its button in the Task Manager, and chose `Pin to Task Manager`.

After I quit it, I see a Spotify icon button in the leftmost position in the Task Manager. Nice so far.

But when I click that button, Spotify is launched as the *last* button in the Task Manager, not the first.

Is this a bug? Cinnamon works as expected in this scenario - the app stays in its place (first, second etc), and Super+1, 2... activates the app's window.

Uncheck "Keep launchers separate"

I found a solution that appears to work so far:

In the Task Manager Settings -> Behavior, leave the Sort as "Manually", and uncheck "Keep launchers separately".

This might require moving launchers around and (un)pinning them again but once I did that, they've preserved their order.
