This page says that Arch hasn't added the trace symbols, yet that feature request has been fixed since 2014

Not fixed, just closed. AFAIK Arch still doesn't ship debugging symbol packages like other distros do, you still have to recompile an application with debugging enabled to get a meaningful backtrace.


Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Shame, would make debugging applications a lot easier.

I would like to enable it on all my packages but can't find a way to just 'apply it to all packages at install'. Only manually
