KDE Splash Screen

Tue Apr 20, 2021 6:50 pm
Hey guys,

i may have an unusual Question,
but is it possible to modify the KDE Plasma Splashscreen so it waits for Latte Dock to load fully?
Because it sometimes looks very clumsy if Plasma is loaded but Latte Dock needs more time to load.

The Plasma shell needs to be loaded first, as Latte Dock is an application on top of it. A different loading order doesn't make sense. Maybe talk to the Latte Dock dev to make it faster? Don't get your hopes up, though, Latte Dock is rather huge so this is unlikely to happen.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Thank you for your answer :)
