Yesterday, I made a fresh install of Arch Linux and installed KDE Plasma on it on my laptop, worked fine.
Today I did the same on my desktop PC, and Plasmashell keeps crashing on login, at first it freezes, but then it unfreezes with plasmashell crash. I can press CTRL+ALT+T and use Terminal just fine, and Firefox. CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 In terminal I execute command journalctl -b 0 -p3 and this is the output
As you can see plasmashell crashes. When I log in it freezes completely. I have to wait a minute or so before plasmashell crashes, and I can open terminal and do stuff. Then it regularly crashes and restarts itself afterwards. |

You should report this as a bug on https://bugs.kde.org, crash and bug reports do not belong to the forum.
You might check on the Arch forum on how to get a useful backtrace first, though, as Arch does not provide debugging symbols by default.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
