KDE power-profiles

Fri Oct 29, 2021 10:02 am
Hello,

I'm running opensuse TW on this laptop :
OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed x86_64
Host: 82A2 Yoga Slim 7 14ARE05
Kernel: 5.14.14-1-default
Uptime: 37 mins
Packages: 2483 (rpm)
Shell: bash 5.1.8
Resolution: 1920x1080
DE: Plasma 5.23.1
WM: kwin
WM Theme: plastik
Theme: Breeze Light [Plasma], Adwaita [GTK2], Breeze [GTK3]
Icons: breeze [Plasma], breeze [GTK2/3]
Terminal: konsole
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4800U with Radeon Graphics (16) @ 1.800GHz
GPU: AMD ATI 03:00.0 Renoir
Memory: 2456MiB / 15351MiB

I installed the package "power-profiles-daemon" but I don't have the toggle.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Not sure this is already implemented. At least I don't see anything in the Battery and Brightness widget, using plasma 5.23.2 currently.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

OK, found the real reason: it does not work on AMD CPU anyway, still work in progress: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/hadess/p ... /issues/50
