I recently installed KDE on Fedora 35, and had this problem when I woke the machine from sleep after several hours: https://files.catbox.moe/pywh6m.JPG

The X server appears to be completely frozen in this state. But I can switch to a different TTY, and everything works fine in the framebuffer console.

I had installed the 495 Nvidia drivers recently, and sleep had been working fine before (although for a shorter period of time).

I don't see anything obviously wrong in dmesg output.

However I did see an error in journalctl that might be related:

Code: Select all
... kwin_x11[8489]: kwin_core: XCB error: 10 (BadAccess), sequence: 27221, resource id: 466, major code: 142 (Composite), minor code: 2 (RedirectSubwindows)
... kwin_x11[8489]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 27769, resource id: 132120581, major code: 18 (ChangeProperty), minor code: 0
... kwin_x11[8489]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 30710, resource id: 16778132, major code: 15 (QueryTree), minor code: 0

What troubleshooting steps should I take? What might cause this, and how can I prevent it in the future?
