I recently installed KDE on Fedora 35, and had this problem when I woke the machine from sleep after several hours: https://files.catbox.moe/pywh6m.JPG
The X server appears to be completely frozen in this state. But I can switch to a different TTY, and everything works fine in the framebuffer console. I had installed the 495 Nvidia drivers recently, and sleep had been working fine before (although for a shorter period of time). I don't see anything obviously wrong in dmesg output. However I did see an error in journalctl that might be related:
What troubleshooting steps should I take? What might cause this, and how can I prevent it in the future? |
