alainroger Registered Member Posts 159 Karma 0 OS	KSplash issue in logs Sat Dec 04, 2021 3:21 pm Hi, Checking my logs I discovered such error: Code: Select all `déc. 04 10:23:55 PC0001 org.kde.KSplash[17018]: org.kde.knotifications: WaitForName: Service was not registered within timeout déc. 04 10:23:55 PC0001 dbus-daemon[2124]: [session uid=1000 pid=2124] Activated service 'org.kde.KSplash' failed: Process org.kde.KSplash exited with status 1` It slows my computers after login into the system, by almost 12s each time. Kubuntu 22.04 / kernel 5.15.x KDE 5.24.5 / KDE framework: 5.95 / Qt version: 5.15.3
Mamarok Manager Posts 6071 Karma 16 OS	Re: KSplash issue in logs Mon Dec 06, 2021 2:39 pm I can't reproduce this here, my splash screen shows without problems, so likely solved in the next Plasma version anyway. Are you using a different Global Theme than the default Breeze one that could cause the issue? I use Breeze Twilight here. Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11 FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
