Is there way to know which is causing this dependency?

Hey all,

I'm trying to figure out which is causing this broken dependency when I try to update my system. I noticed that this machine uses while in my laptop (bare Tumbleweed KDE Plasma) uses

These won't keep up with the update from libssl48 to libssl50 in OpenSUSE and causes sddm to throw errors:

Code: Select all
sddm-greeter[2318]: Loading file:///usr/share/sddm/themes/breeze/Main.qml...
sddm-greeter[2318]: file:///usr/share/sddm/themes/breeze/Main.qml:14:1: plugin cannot be loaded for module "org.kde.plasma.core": Cannot load library /usr/lib64/qt5/qml/org/kde/plasma/core/ ( cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
sddm-greeter[2318]: Fallback to embedded theme
sddm-greeter[2318]: file:///usr/lib64/qt5/qml/SddmComponents/PictureBox.qml:80:9: QML Image: Cannot open: qrc:/var/lib/AccountsService/icons/user01

Even when brute forcing entry, it still shows black screen with these logs:

Code: Select all
kf.coreaddons: "Could not load plugin from /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kded/ Cannot load library /usr/lib54/plugins/kf5/kded/ ( cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)"

I appreciate your help with debugging and tracking this issue, please let me know what to try next.

Thanks a lot!

Did you ask in the OpenSuse forum? This could well be a distribution issue, did not encounter this on my systems using Kubuntu

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
