First time posting - please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong!

Upon logging in to KDE or opening a new tab on firefox I must always click my mouse or otherwise "focus" before being able to put in text.

I recently switched to Kubuntu from regular Ubuntu with KDE and have experienced this issue since switching, so I believe its something core that. Any help would be appreciated!

Can't reproduce this here at all, which exact Kubuntu version do you use?
