Is there any way to configure my start up via sddm in such a way that the splash screen animation gets completed atleast by setting some user defined time intervals. Currently I am unable to see what goes on in the splash screen as the desktop loads really fast. It's a not super important factor but I would love to know if it's possible in some way.

Aha, I asked this in Manjaro forum a few weeks ago - I wanted to give 'BeautifulTreeAnimation' time to work, in the end I disabled it.
This would work well as a setting - when setting a splash screen, an option to 'finish splash screen before desktop startup'.
